Hanoi Old Quarter, known as Hanoi’s “36 Streets”, the Old Quarter is the cultural and historical heart of Vietnam’s capital. While the city has modernized over time, this lively district has preserved its historic charm, and traditional architecture, making it one of Hanoi’s most iconic attractions.
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be warmly greeted by a guide and private driver, then transferred to the hotel for check-in.

Today at 8:30, we begin exploring Hanoi’s most important landmarks. We start with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Mondays and Fridays), an iconic symbol of Vietnam’s independence.
Nearby, we visit the One Pillar Pagoda, which rises gracefully from the center of a lotus pond and resembles a blooming lotus flower.
We continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, built in the 11th century. Its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a peaceful glimpse into Vietnam’s scholarly past.
Next, we visit the Museum of Ethnology (closed on Mondays), which serves as both a research center and a public museum showcasing the diverse ethnic groups of Vietnam.
In the afternoon, we explore the Old Quarter, also known as the 36 Streets. Take a cyclo ride through the charming Hang Be Market area and around Hoan Kiem Lake. This bustling neighborhood of narrow streets and alleys is home to thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers — an ideal place to explore, soak up the local atmosphere, and capture memorable photos.
To end the day, enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Show, an art form that dates back over 1,000 years. Originally performed in rice paddies, these performances depict scenes from rural life such as farming, fishing, and local legends.
Overnight in Hanoi
After breakfast, depart Hanoi for a 3.5-hour drive to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site famous for its spectacular limestone islands rising from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin.
Upon arrival at the pier, board your traditional junk boat and enjoy a welcome drink before checking into your cabin. As the cruise begins, you’ll pass countless limestone islets, hidden caves, floating fishing villages, and scenic beaches.
A delicious lunch featuring fresh local seafood will be served on board. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the sundeck and taking in the breathtaking scenery as the boat sails deeper into the bay.
In the evening, the boat anchors in a quiet area for an overnight stay surrounded by peaceful natural beauty.

This morning, continue cruising through Halong Bay, passing by many unique islets named after their shapes, such as Dog, Incense Burner, Fighting Cock, and Finger Islet.
Enjoy breakfast or brunch on board as the boat makes its way back toward the harbor.
After disembarkation, return to Hanoi by road. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure.
